My wife worked for a PR firm for a number of years and even though I studied the industry in school (Communications major) I was still left feeling a little more than discouraged by some of the half-truths and less than ethical maneuvering of the firm to get their client press time. The only defense for the media consumer is question everything from motivation to message and medium.
