1Up has the emerging details on the Nintendo Revolution as well as some pics. Excuse the drool on the front of my shirt but this sure is a purdy console. Reminds me of my black GBA SP.
Engadget has a potential picture of the Nintendo Revolution and like they say it appears to fit the discussed form factor. My 2 cents, sure it looks a bit like an external drive but it is also small, sleek, and unobtrusive which are some major bonuses. One of the reasons I love the Gamecube so much is that it fits in nicely with my existing A/V setup, something that the XBox does not and that PS3 looks like it will have difficulty doing.

I hate to break it to the geniuses over at CNNMoney but Nintendo is on track for its release according to market trends. It is Microsoft that is releasing early and potentially pulling a Dreamcast as consumers take a wait and see attitude and this is not to mention the potential backlash regarding the absence of backwards compatibility as latecomers feel pressured into the upgrade cycle too soon.
