Over at Paul Thurrott's site he has a &lt;a href="http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/winserver2k3_gold2.asp" rel="nofollow"&gt;quote&lt;/a&gt; that at least for me lays bare what the real problem is for Microsoft and Windows development: "Now there are 5000 member of the Windows team, plus an additional 5000 contributing partners, generating over 50 million lines of code for Windows Server 2003." Now  think about the petty corporate fiefdom crap that goes on every year at the smallest companies about budget allocation and ownership over deliverables then lay that over a company the size of MS.  It is a wonder that they are even able to produce a new OS every 5 or so years and it is no wonder that they are cutting the most important features for the sake of eye candy leaving the consumer with tasty icing spread thinly over a crusty ass stale biscuit.</description>

		<description>I could not agree more, they ripped out one of the biggest features that was going to make it cool, a database driven filesystem. It looks like they are putting the Aero interface on XP so it will sell more hardware.</description>
