The Tol is a traditional first birthday in Korea (though this one was pretty heavily modified seeing as none of us grew up in Korea!) and what you see with the pencil, money and calculator is the Toljabee whereby Audra along with her parents select the items that will mark her future.
In this case, as best as I understand, she chose the pencil first marking her as a scholar, money second indicating prosperity, and the calculator…well, of that I’m not entirely sure. My sister also laid out items that represented the family’s occupation.
The mouse is mine, the book is an architecture one which is my brother-in-law, the thread and needle was for my wife since she is good with her hands and studying design, and the calculator is my sister since she is an actuary. The joke was that Audra will be wealthy author of actuarial detective novels.
tol? hmmm… i see a calculator, mouse, cash, random book, and spool of thread. now, what’s the connection? she looks really cute!
