In this case, as best as I understand, she chose the pencil first marking her as a scholar, money second indicating prosperity, and the calculator...well, of that I'm not entirely sure. My sister also laid out items that represented the family's occupation. The mouse is mine, the book is an architecture one which is my brother-in-law, the thread and needle was for my wife since she is good with her hands and studying design, and the calculator is my sister since she is an actuary.
