The castle is Gillette Castle in East Haddam, CT. Management and I went there on one of our very first dates, before we even kissed!

Since they have banned flash photography it is wicked difficult to get any good shots in the castle unless you are near a window. I think I might like to go back next year with an IS lens and a monopod to see if I can’t get better shots.
Yeah, those switches reminded me of a middle school woodshop project gone awry!
