the pictures of the ice are amazing! wow!
I’ve never seen ice like that, encasing things.
What makes it?
These storms are actually pretty common here in New England given that we are buffeted by arctic winds from Canada and warm air from the South. Anyways, freezing rain happens when snow falls through a band of warm air, melts, then comes into another layer below freezing causing it to freeze on contact (Wikipedia has a good article about it).

LOL! She actually sleeps nearly 12 hours a night but for the other 12 it is run-run-run-climb-run!
