With the click of the shutter I was no longer looking at my baby, the one who toddles about the house singing to herself, the little girl who calls my mother Mam-Mam. Rather time slipped forward, lurching heavy and fast, and she was some sixteen years older and about to step out of the house and into those first tentative moments of adulthood. Sadness and joy wrapped about me and I was unsure if I should laugh or cry. I do not want a moment of our life together to go unaccounted.

@marsrovers http://twitpic.com/adel - This is one of those photos that fills me with glee and makes me feel like I am twelve again. # 18 hours ago

Wow! She is looking grown up! It’s great to have the catalog of pictures to remember these moments!
I believe that the other picture with the scarf may be even better than this one IMO (though they’re both very, very good). I can’t remember a picture of her that shows her eye color so vividly.
It was a tough choice but this one I felt captured that expectant confidence that she exudes. She has this air of knowing what she wants and that she will attain it and this shot with the slightly pursed lips and turned brows sort of caught it showing me what sort of person she might grow into.
