I was tempted by my wife's to buy one and while it is a handy little Internet appliance I hate that I cannot back it up, move music to it, tether it without jailbreaking (I won't do that because it is my primary contact device and life would be horrendous if I bricked it). That said, apps are hot-hot-hot. Last.fm and Wordpress are great. Unless you jailbreak its functionality with the Linux in your life will be less than zero which, in my opinion, sucks.
