elwoodicious Re-Booted

Just in time for the new year, a big CSS reboot.

Quick and hacked together but I fairly pleased with the results. The single column feels more spacious, allowing for larger photos to be posted, and putting the sidebar on a diet while shoving it down towards the footer seems to help keep focus on the content. It is a bit of a cheat, as I chainsawed the default theme and re-used aspects of the old theme.

I’m very happy with how the footer worked out, especially the posts, comments, and albums. Not half bad for a hack of a sysadmin playing as a designer for an evening and it was fun to play around with CSS and get a little deeper with how WordPress is laid out.

Love the pig.

Pagination doesn’t seem to be working. Nice design though.

It is a nice design. A little strange, will take a bit of getting used to, but good :)

The Pig is good. Is it from the time you took loads of pig-photo’s?

Thanks! I’ll have to figure out the pagination, the only place I had tested it was on the archives where it worked. Another problem is that the “sidebar” content doesn’t display in Safari, it is there in the source and takes up the appropriate block of space but just doesn’t show. That’s what I get for half-assed QA! :-/

Well, fixed the Safari issue (I think) but threw Opera slightly out of whack. Now to figure out what is the deal with index level navigation.
