"fork/spoon/pencil" sounds like a utensil I can get behind. Are you selling them? :-P

macbook air/cord
two journals (one for me, one for blogging)
"Loving What Is" Byron Katie
School binder
fork/spoon/pencil
chapstick
wallet
iphone
2 blank cds
keys
change clasp.
gloves.

I guess I'm not as light as the rest of you guys. If it's just me, instead of a typical day at school, I would say I have my journals (usually more than one), laptop/cordage, and iphone. I've got a few books on there I'm finishing. The problem with that being that reading your iphone isn't quite the same conversation-starter as a paperback novel.

@Dave, definitely take a look at the Mini 10v. I am very impressed with it and the combination of the SSD and the 6-cell battery make for some pretty epic battery life.

@Mike LOL! I did consider it, albeit briefly, but I just love my Debian derivatives...But I do love OS X powering my living room. :-D

The other day I went to meet a new client. I took my Macbook Pro, my Moleskine Cahier notebook (grid paper), and my favorite Pilot G2 pen. No bag, easy to carry, it was great. That's how I roll when I travel light :)
I'm wanting a netbook like yours that I could carry everywhere (w/Ubuntu of course, and probably an encrypted F/S w/good backups since its easily stolen). My iPhone almost worked for "mobile computing", but I require more firepower than just iPhone apps.
