File Under: They make it too easy

I’m a sucker, especially for the intersection of technology and shopping. Last night, while catching up on my feeds on my iPhone, I caught io9’s article about The Call of the Cthulhu movie which was released on DVD last year. Now it is bad enough that I am reading the feed of a Sci-Fi blog on my iPhone and doubly worse about an indie H.P. Lovecraft film but the icing on the cake is that I purchased it right then and there from Amazon whose iPhone formated store plus one-click shopping makes it way to easy to purchase the things you think you need when you really ought to be sleeping because you know the baby will be getting up in the middle of the night because she’s teething but you cannot resist the simplicity of it tap-tap-ka-ching.

Perfect Stocking Stuffer

Spotted this at Ocean State Job Lot this morning. Hell of a stocking stuffer.

Treating myself…

Figured since I’ve been working hard and lugging my laptop all over the place it would be nice to have custom bag from Timbuk2…

Timbuk2

Should be here sometime next week.

Friday seems so far away

One of the things that I really like about ZaReason is the personal touch that the company offers, from visiting to make comments here to upgrading shipping so I can get my laptop before the weekend–last night Cathy sent me an email letting me know that my laptop was sent out the door and that they bumped up the shipping so I would have the chance to play with it over the weekend. As a customer it makes you feel good about doing business with them. I will definitely be going to them for our next laptop and for one of their MediaBoxes if I can convince Management that we really do need to be able to watch YouTube, check email, and watch the satellite while in bed.

So here I sit hitting F5 on the keyboard…

Getting closer to that DSLR commitment

I added the items to my Amazon shopping cart…

Lowepro Voyager C Camera Strap $24.95

Tamrac Explorer 10 DSLR Camera Bag (Black) $23.95

Canon Digital Rebel XT w/ EF-S 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 Lens $606.73

Canon 58mm Snap-On Lens Cap $9.99

Tamrac N-45 - Foam-Padded, Leather Camera Strap $16.95

Kingston CF/2GB-S 2 GB ElitePro CompactFlash Card $34.99

subtotal = $692.61

But I think I might need to lay down as I find myself a little short of breath…though at least I’m saving about $150 using Amazon.
